Business strategy: Created the business strategy for Deltacom and Cold Box Express, and was a major participant in the strategic direction of ITC Deltacom. Deltacom grew revenues from start up in 1984 to $85 million by 1996, prior to the sale of the company to ITC Holding, Inc. (and thereafter creating ITC Deltacom, Inc.). Business strategies included determination of organizational structure, markets, sales channels, resource allocation, corporate culture and corporate mission/value system.
Business development/sales/marketing: Creation of sales and marketing programs to foster growth of company products and services. This includes determination of sales strategy, marketing spend, resource allocation, messaging, branding and advertising.
Customer support: Understanding needs of customers, creation of processes and procedures that support customers and allow them to utilize company products and services to their satisfaction.
Personnel management: Vast experience in the development of teams to lead all phases of an organization.
Financing: Participated in the development and execution of capital raising activities, including preparation of offering materials, capital structure and solicitation of investors.
